Durante 2001, Argentina se vio inmersa en una de las más importantes crisis económicas de los últimos tiempos. La clase media, la más próspera de toda Latinoamérica se despertó en un Buenos Aires fantasmagórico, con fábricas abandonadas y un número espectacular de parados. En los suburbios de la capital, treinta obreros sin empleo deciden tomar la fábrica donde trabajaban y se niegan a abandonarla.
